2020 Summer Intensive

July 6 - 31, 2020

This year’s Intensive will specifically focus on auditions for middle school, high school, and college Performing Arts Programs.
If you need to prepare a song or monologue to audition for a performing arts program, this Intensive will give you the skills needed to have a finished product ready for any audition.

We will go through the song and monologue selection process,
vocal technique, acting your piece, subtext, slating, how to speak to an accompanist, what to wear, and tips for making video auditions
look as professional as possible.

This summer’s Intensive will be offered as a virtual class available to you at set times throughout the week.  You are welcome to check in as often as you need for help with your pieces as you prepare them.  It will be set up as a “small group class” structure.  This means when you join the online class you will automatically be in line to work on your pieces with coaching from Pied Piper Artistic Director Colleen Hawks-Pierce and various guest teachers.  As you wait in line you will be able to view other students being coached and able to participate in questions and observations as they work.  You are welcome to stay with the class after your coaching to view and participate in our “small group class.”  Or you can sign off to work on your piece and then come back online to join the class again in the same day.  How fast you progress will be set at your own pace, as you work on your numbers
with our PPCT professionals.

The Pied Piper Summer Audition Intensive will be offered
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3-5pm starting on
Monday, July 6th and culminating in a group share on Friday, July 31st.
